CAREER OBJECTIVE

Seeking opportunities in computer applications development, especially in the areas of research and development of 3D analysis tools, using my Visual Basic & Relational DB development skills.

LANGUAGES

v Advanced Knowledge (4-6 Years)

Visual Basic: Advanced Windows development, database interfaces, 3D interface design, API usage, Component development, Object creation and reuse.

RDBMS / SQL (MS Access and SQL Server): Relational Database development including Table and Query design, batch updates, networked interfaces, and custom Security models.

v  Intermediate Knowledge (2-4 Years)

Visual C++: Windows development, 3D graphics (OpenGL), ActiveX Control development and testing (MFC and ATL).

Visual InterDev, HTML, VBScript, and JScript: Internet / Intranet interface and site development, database interfaces, and Component usage.

v Knowledge (>2 Years)

Windows NT Scripting: Administrative scripting, user logon scripts, batch processing and other routine tasks.

Borland C++ and Delphi: Windows development and third party Component usage.

EXPERIENCE

v Independent Consulting, Nation Wide: Jan 98 – Present

Developed windows components, interfaces, and databases for customers across the nation.

Consulted with development departments and other developers on software architecture and systems design.

Designed websites, graphics (original and via subcontract), and scripting for corporate Internet presence.

Instructed IT department staff on Windows NT Scripting, Visual Basic, and 3D Interface Design.

v Global Majic Software, Huntsville, AL: Jul 99 – May 00

Developed VC++ components (using ATL and OpenGL) for 3DLinX, a real time 3D rendering engine contained in an ActiveX control for commercial sale.  Debugging and Testing comprised the majority of the work. Also worked on debugging of instrumentation ActiveX Controls (MFC).

Developed 3D visualization demonstrations for the 3DLinX Control in Visual Basic, Visual C++, Borland Delphi, Borland C++ Builder, HTML and other development environments. Demos and code are available upon request.

Established the Technical Support Database and managed Technical Support department.

Developed code on contract using VC++ and VB for various applications and 3DLinX add-ons.

v ITT Systems (Kaman Sciences), Huntsville, AL: Jul 97 – Jul 99

Developed a Visual Basic 6.0 / MS Access 97 relational database and analysis tool to compare Light Gas Gun and Hydrocode test results vis-à-vis PEELS (Parametric Endo-Exoatmospheric Lethality Simulation) test results.

Modified and tested codes for Beta release, including reengineering of functions when required. Codes modified were PEELS User Interface (PUI) - designed in Visual Basic, and PEELSViz - designed in C++ with OpenGL.

Developed cost and task analysis tool for Program Managers using Microsoft Access/Visual Basic relational database to manage budgeting of task coverage, track changes, generate customized reports, and import data.

Developed Visual Basic tool to graphically render targets by color gradient indicating target bomblet damage generated from target test data for pretest and posttest views; automated a finished PowerPoint file of the target.

Development support, Quality Assurance, and installation troubleshooting for MIDAS, a Battle Damage Assessment tool developed in G2 (UNIX) for the US Army intelligence community.

Other Projects: Various national level intelligence research and technical analysis efforts. Designed and instructed a course for PEELS. Assisted test engineers with Light Gas Gun (LGG) target assembly and debris analysis for Patriot (PAC-3). Implemented Pathfinder, National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC) information handling and analysis software, to establish intelligence data handling capabilities (effort performed on Solaris / UNIX platform). Alternate Contractor Special Security Officer (A-CSSO), perform duties required for SCI security; attended DIA SSO short course.

v USAF, 23WG “Flying Tigers” Pope AFB, NC: Jun 94 – Jul 97

Intelligence Operations Specialist, duties included: all-source intelligence analysis, current intelligence production, target & mission planning, and dissemination manager. Excelled in presentations for both aircrew and staff on technical and combat topics. Researched, edited and published various intelligence products for daily dissemination. Deployed for three operational contingencies to standup and execute Combat Intelligence shops in support of US A-10, F-16, and C-130 squadrons and one British RAF Tornado Squadron.

Developed computer applications in support of intelligence mission requirements, including a MS Access 2.0 relational database design for intelligence media storage and handling and an application to dynamically create combat mission reports (designed while deployed during a contingency with the British RAF).

Excelled on deployments to USAF/USA Joint Readiness Training Center (JRTC). Commended for digital briefings (presentations & graphics), coordination with US Army intelligence for real-time enemy missile & force locations, and conducting Combat Survival Training in the field with “downed” aircrews in simulated combat environment.

Instructor for Combat Medical Care, Combat Survival Training (CST), Aircrew Intelligence Training (AIT), and various intelligence software and hardware (Constant Source, Combat Intelligence System, etc).
